About looking for a dentist that is great with children. My 7 year old is needing work done she keeps throwing fits

Looking for a dentist that is great with children. My 7 year old is needing work done she keeps throwing fits.
My 7 year old did great at the dentist for the first couple of years. We were able to get cavities filled and cleanings. She did great until she turned 6. Now she is needing her cavities filled again and also spacers. She will no let the dentist give her any shots in her mouth. She does fine with normal cleanings. We are not understanding the sudden change on not liking the dentist. We are needing refrences to a dentist that specilizes with frightened children. Also, we live in the Wichita Kansas Area. (Belle Plaine) In your referal please include dentist, where they are located, and personal experience. We are looking for as much information as possible. We are wanting to possibly get the work done this summer.

first of all- talk to you dentist about this - he may have other ideas for treating her such as the laughing gas or premedication. if she is no longer cooperative with a familiar office i doubt she is going to be in strange surroundings but if you choose to go to a pedodontist then get a referral from your dentist. he will steer you to ones that he knows and that have proven themselves to treat pedo patients efficiently

Just curious!?! Do you or her dad stay in the room with her when she has gone to the dentist lately? I can tell you from personal experience that when a parent stays in the room for treatment, about 75% of the kids dont cooperate with the dentist. Staying in the waiting room is the best thing you can do for your kid if they need work done. Some parents dont agree but I have seen the outcome of both sides and the kids are better behaved when mom and dad are out of sight.

I recently researched good dentists in Wichita for my teen daughter and I. There were many highly rated but some are booked many months ahead or don't take kids. I would recommend Stephen P Fetzik, DMD - General Dentist 2860 S Seneca St Ste B Wichita, KS 67217 Ph: 316-522-4765 We got an appointment with him and my daughter was delighted of their caring treatment since she is always afraid of dentists. I can tell they were very thorough and efficient. Check out other ratings on the link below.

It's not always crystal clear how to go about hunting for a job, I was in a bit of a hole over the past few weeks when I was job seeking, until I uncovered the website in the box below that provides sensible guidance. I soon got myself going down the proper route, and in a short while after a couple of interviews I netted a really great job.

Pro's- Kansas City has cooler summers, it's a bigger city which means more to do, you'll probably make new friends, you can start over in a new school Cons- You have to leave your old friends, It'll be a long boring drive to your dad, you'll have to start over in a school (this can be a pro or con).

Yes you can as long as you can document and prove that you are keeping pace on your studies. I am from Wichita also and have many friends that home school their children.
2 :
You may want to check your local labor laws, but it shouldn't be a problem. I live in North Carolina and was homeschooled for the majority of my High School years. I also worked 20 - 24 hour weeks on both morning and evening shifts. Hope this helps!

what about advertising at your most famous food stores in your area. they usually have bulletin boards in the store when you first come in, where they advertise for babysitters, apartment rentals, someone wants to sell furniture etc. get some index cards and thumb tacks and out you job up there and see what happens.

About Do British people know Kansas is a U.S. state

Do British people know Kansas is a U.S. state?
The Geographic middle of the United States? Like visit Dodge City, Kansas. The dirt gravel roads and old western buildings and barnyards. Middle America. You could bring British cattle and grow corn and live in endless fields of grass and smoke out and buy a gun and work in Wichita. What do British people think of the Great Plains of the United States and the honky tonk bars and the wide open spaces? The flat land East of the Rockies, between the Atlantic and Pacific Oceans? What do British people think of that sparsely populated hidden land within the US? British celtic bands made it out to the middle of North America....they turned into Bluegrass and country British people could start with a banjo and fiddle and bass and a western accent and some gospel blues See picture below http://www.geocities.com/hubiestutzman/holding/ks_dodge_city.jpg Edit: Just when you think about how much people fight for land in the Middle East, how many wars were fought in Europe between nations the size of Belgium YET....here in the U.S. middle there's soooo much temperate land, THOUSANDS of kilometres of pure comfy land in a place called the Great Plains

2 :
uh....that would be, educated BRITONS know. but you are kidding, right? "duuust in the wiiind....all we are is duuust in the wiiiiiind...."
3 :
Been all over Kansas and a few of the other midwestern states - the only thing I was atracted to was the micro breweries.
4 :
We've all seen the 'Wizard of Oz', so that's a 'yes'. Personally, I prefer to live in a country where you can travel anywhere in a day, where you can see mountains, beaches, lakes, forests, castles, palaces, ancient monuments...all in a single day, where a tornado is not going to destroy my house, where the majority of the population is not allowed to carry guns, and where bloodsports are illegal. Call me old-fashioned......but
5 :
I don't think Kansas often enters the mind of most Brits, though I'm sure any educated person will have heard of it and knows it's "somewhere in the middle" (even if most probably couldn't point to it on a map), the Great Plains and the Wizard of Oz. Probably all a bit too VAST for people accustomed to living in little islands. Nor does it have the historical connection that there is from here to New England and the East Coast in general (quite apart from temperamental and political similarities ... dare I mention the word Liberal?) nor the familiarity of Florida (vacations) or California (on the TV every day of the week.)
6 :
Yes. The wide open spaces are very appealing!
7 :
yes, wb kansas? and why u teling us this info on the great plains anyway?
8 :
I've had quite a few of my Brit friends that do not know where Kansas is, and I've stayed there a while back when I was much younger. I guess it could go the same way for people over here in America. Many do not know where certain locations are in other countries and of course you are going to have people point out major cities and states because that's what is the popular "talk" or knowledge about in other areas. So I have a lot of Brits and Irish will tell me they know for the most part about the larger areas and such in America, but then again they don't seem to have a clue as places you say of Kansas. Then you have the American who knows more of the larger areas in England or Ireland and such and then they don't have a clue about the more "smaller" areas. Also I am not saying this is how it is, or all people from countries are like this or not knowledgeable about other areas and such, but a majority or a minority could be this way. Hell, I don't know much about other cities and countries as I should, I got over here in America and turned into a dumbass, but oh well. That's life I would assume.
9 :
Hey thanks for making us Americans look bad. Of course the British know Kansas is a state.
10 :
Yes. Toto and Dorothy came from Kansas. (don't worry about what 'ALAN GRAYSON FOR PRESIDENT 2012' says. Some of the airheads I work with would probably say it was a clothing shop or a boy band).
11 :
Yes, I know of every last US state. Kansas is the one smack-bang in the middle of the US.
12 :
That's a bit like saying "Do yank people know Cheshire is a UK county?" Some will, some will not. So what? There is a reason that space is empty, nobody wants to live there.

contact the pit bull club in your area, just google pittbull club kansas, there they should have forums and stuff you can post, breeders you can get in contact with, shows they organize, ways you can organize shows, etc... this would be the best way of doing this. you can work with people who have actually set up shows and can help mentor you. Good luck! I hope you can achieve your dream! :) http://www.netpets.com/dogs/dogclub/breeds/dogpit_ter.html http://profile.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=user.viewprofile&friendid=127561500 http://www.dogresources.com/apbtrregistries.html http://www.pitbullregistry.com/american%20pit%20bull%20terrier%20clubs.htm
2 :
look on meetup.com to see if you can find one in your area. If not you can start one, but it cost a little money.
3 :
i don't know what a good idea that would be. because my first thought is "dogfighting" at the throught of someone gathering pitts and bully reeds.
4 :
You would have to get permission from the city to hold this sort of function in the park.
5 :
Try contacting a pit bull rescue. Let them start to put the word out.
6 :
I don't know where to begin, but i think this is a wonderful idea, someone needs to get out there and show that pitts are not all aggressive and mean. I would love to participate in something constructive w/ my pitts to show the world how sweet they are, and how they can be productive in society, i thought about enrolling them to be able to visit nursing homes and such, they have a few programs like that in louisiana...good luck, let me know how it turns out, i might take a trip...

About Anyone remember the round sweet fritters used to serve at Little Castle Hamburgers in Wichita Ks? How to make

Anyone remember the round sweet fritters used to serve at Little Castle Hamburgers in Wichita Ks? How to make?
I worked there one summer and am thinking about setting up a stand to sell them where I live now, but I don´t remember what was in the batter. Just remember that we would pipe out the batter directly into the hot oil and I think we´d make a circle and then fill it in sort of criscrossing the batter inside the circle. And it´d be done in a minute - just sprinkle on powdered sugar and done. All the recipes I find now are made with fruits or vegetables (the ones we sold had none)and they seem to take longer to cook. These took like a minute if I remember correctly and that would be important for this kind of sale. Thanks for any help!!!!!

Funnel Cakes Funnel cakes are made by pouring batter through a funnel into deep hot fat. INGREDIENTS: 3 eggs, beaten 2 cups milk 4 cups all-purpose flour 1/3 cup sugar 1/2 teaspoon salt 1 tablespoon baking powder oil for deep frying sifted confectioners' sugar PREPARATION: Beat eggs with milk. Sift together flour, sugar, salt, and baking powder; add to eggs and milk. Beat until very smooth. Heat oil in deep fryer to 370°. Holding the funnel with one finger keeping the opening closed, fill with batter. Open the end of the funnel and allow batter to run out in a stream into deep hot fat. Move funnel from center, swirling outward in a circular pattern. Fry for 2 to 3 minutes, until golden brown. Transfer fried funnel cakes to paper towels to drain. Shake sifted confectioners' sugar over drained funnel cakes. Makes 20 to 30 funnel cakes, depending on size. Funnel Cake Funnel Cake is a very popular sweet served at fairs and carnivals. INGREDIENTS: 1 cup flour 3/4 teaspoon baking powder 1/4 teaspoon salt 1 egg 1 cup plus 1 tablespoon milk 2 tablespoons sugar Optional toppings: powdered sugar, granulated sugar, cinnamon, warmed apple or other fruit filling, ice cream, whipped cream, syrups PREPARATION: Combine flour, baking powder and salt in a bowl with wire whisk. In another bowl, beat egg and milk. Add sugar, stir to dissolve. Add dry ingredients and (using electric mixer) beat until smooth. Heat at least 1 inch of oil to 375 degrees F. FUNNEL CAKE: Make in either in a deep fryer or a skillet. To form each funnel cake, place one finger over hole in bottom of funnel. Carefully fill funnel with batter. Over hot oil remove finger and allow batter in go into oil. Make circular or other shapes with batter. Cook for 1 minute and using tongs or two spatulas turn funnel cake. Cook until golden brown, about another minute or so. Drain on paper towels. Sprinkle with sugar or use other toppings. Serve warm. not being from the midweast wasn't sure if you meant this recipe. it sounded more like what you were talking about then a fritter. hope this helps. good luck.
